Our staff and Recruitment
The vast majority of our staff trained to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent. We also have Nursery Nurses at Level 2 studying Level 3 in Early Years and Childcare. We have a very high qualified to unqualified staff ratio which far exceeds that of OFSTED requirements. All of our staff are trained in First Aid.
We have ensured that we have recruited a friendly and experienced team of childcare proffessionals who feel privileged to nurture every child in our nursery.
At Monkey Puzzle you’ll find that our friendly team provides a high standard of care and education for children between 3 months and five years. You’ll find The Monkey Puzzle team ready to care for and cherish your child and get to know what you and your child want. We are really proud of our collective qualifications and experience, which make us unique as a nursery team.
Additional Roles
To ensure that all of the childrens individual needs are met and that the children’s safety is paramount, some of the staff within the nursery have additional coordinator roles. These staff will go on regular training courses to ensure that they are able to support the nursery within their chosen area.

Health & Safety Coordinator

Fundraising Coordinator

Current Vacancies:
Nursery Nurse
We are looking for a Nursery Nurse with a level 3 (or equivalent) childcare qualification. The role is to be positioned in our under 2’s room. The role is a 40 hour working week with 5 hour paid lunches and you will be rewarded with a salary of £13,500 – £15,500. Start Date – ASAP
Nursery Cook
Required to work 8am to 1pm Monday to Friday preparing and cooking nutrious food for children aged 3 months to 5 years. This is a 5 month contract to cover sickness. Good Rates of Pay. Start Date – to be confirmed.
Bank/Temporary Nursery Staff
Required to cover staff sickness and holidays between 7:30am and 6:30pm Monday to Friday as and when required. A qualification in childcare is not essential but experience in childcare preferred. Competitive rates of pay. Start Date – ASAP
